Research Technology Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Research Technology Project Manager to join our team. Ideally, you are someone who is capable of taking on new responsibilities without a lot of hand-holding; who enjoys "wearing many hats" at the same time; has a strong aptitude for detail-oriented work and is adept building effective working relationships quickly. You must like research, have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have the ability to meet tight deadlines. You will liaison externally with clients, client agencies, traffickers and publishers to resolve project timeline requirements, questions and research compliance issues. Internally you will liaison with internal Account Management, Research and Tech Ops teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of project execution. Requires excellent follow-through and a firm communication style. You will also use our proprietary technology to implement and monitor client studies.

Responsibilities

Handle the implementation of Symphony AM research technology into client's online advertising campaigns and other digital placements including:

  • Manage all implementation for assigned projects
  • Coordinate tagging and implementation between Survey Ops and publishers
  • Point of contact with 3rd party sites/publishers when working with them pre and post launch on campaigns.
  • Act as intermediary between research and tech ops and account management - coordinating timelines and responsibilities across projects.
  • Work with publishers to gain 3rd party survey vendor approved status.
  • Support account managers on all aspects of implementation of studies.
  • Create and maintain projects and tasks within our project management tool
  • Help managers/account managers communicate and coordinate implementation with clients and agencies as needed
  • Responsible for pulling vendor reports and requesting mapping updates across all projects as needed.
  • Monitor data collection and impressions and escalate if there are concerns
  • Devise optimal strategies to ensure that adequate sample is collected
  • Ensure research study optimization by collaborating with internal research and technical teams
  • Develop and maintain internal documents for relaying all relevant information regarding research projects
  • Secure creative assets, track creative changes and facilitate implementation with internal teams to ensure that research goals are met
  • Liaison with internal teams and client agencies, traffickers and publishers to resolve trafficking questions and research compliance issues
  • Utilize Symphony AM's proprietary technology to implement and monitor client studies.

Requirements

Two to three years experience with the following:

  • Experience managing complex, on going projects and timelines.
  • Experience implementing and managing projects, including:
    • Managing external and internal kickoff meetings
    • Securing media assets, data sources and other external information
    • Developing and delivering tagging and sampling plan
    • Managing and coordinating project launches
    • Monitoring data collection and data checks
    • Troubleshooting problems
  • Experience leading kickoff and launch communication, materials and meetings.
  • Experience leading external coordination of project with media agencies, creative agencies and online publishers.
  • Experience with ad trafficking, including all major Third Party Ad Servers, including rich media ad serving systems
  • Experience with the implementation of online advertising tracking and research tags
  • Experience working within a small team environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams that include internal resources (research, technology, sales) and external partners (media agencies, creative agencies and online publishers).
  • Ability to meet high standards for quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several client relationships/expectations

Survey Programmer

Job Description

The Survey Programmer is responsible for ensuring high quality programming of custom online surveys, survey invitations, advertising tracking and sampling tags and QA support to other developers, among other tasks. The person selected to fill this position will have an important impact on the Technical Operations team and SymphonyAM on daily basis. If you enjoy daily challenges and troubleshooting interesting technical problems to produce innovative results, we would love to talk to you.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand SymphonyAM proprietary application
  • Program custom online surveys
  • Build custom research logic using JavaScript, DHTML and other Web tools
  • Review text/doc versions of questionnaires to ensure logic, formatting and grammar are correct
  • Set up and initiate the technical aspects of follow-up email campaigns
  • Understand research study goals, develop JavaScript research tag schema to deliver structured research data, resolve any tagging design issues with client and Account Management, generate JavaScript tags
  • Advise client ad trafficking staff on research tag implementation
  • Work with customers on special requirements
  • Support research and sales on technical issues
  • Research Control maintenance

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of client-side web development experience including JavaScript, DHTML, HTML, CSS
  • 3+ years' experience with major browsers and clear understanding of browser content rendering, DOM, browser cookies
  • Experience with browser debug tools
  • Internet advertisement experience is a plus
  • Ability to creatively problem solve different issues that come up due to client/site and technological restrictions
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with software applications such as HomeSite, Excel and Word
  • Prefer clear understanding of how the Internet works on the client side, protocols, DNS, etc.
  • Prefer experience with ad serving systems like DoubleClick, Atlas, Yahoo
  • Mobile Web content experience is a plus

Strong organization and quality assurance skills are a must, as are excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and quality of work and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines on time are required. You must also possess strategic thinking ability and a results-oriented focus in a fast-paced environment, and be a team player with good interpersonal skills.

Media Research Intern

Location: New York, NY

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and responsible Intern to help our well-funded startup to support our cross-media research product. The role requires creativity, and collaboration with our team to create an innovative platform to report on mobile, social, digital, and TV media insights.

Responsibilities

  • Learn what you don't know – get comfortable with a variety of datasets and analyses, including text analysis, cross-tabs, and regression
  • Write reports on various results and research conducted
  • Assist in documentation of panel procedures, analysis, and products

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising
  • Above average skills with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Close attention to detail
  • SPSS statistics knowledge a plus (not mandatory)
